FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — The wait is over. Atlanta welcomes in a new season of NFL football as the Falcons take on the Pittsburgh Steelers at Mercedes-Benz Stadium Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
The Raheem Morris era officially begins after he was hired as head coach this offseason. The Falcons will also see a familiar face on the opposing sidelines, as Steeler's offensive coordinator Arthur Smith held Morris' position for the past three seasons.
Fans will also get their first glimpse at quarterback Kirk Cousins, who is coming off an Achilles tendon injury but participated fully in training camp practices. He will operate a new scheme under first-time offensive coordinator Zac Robinson.
