Starting quarterback Matt Ryan and top cornerback Desmond Trufant will both be back out on the field Wednesday, coach Dan Quinn said. Ryan missed his first start since 2009 when an ankle sprain kept him out of the Falcons' loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Trufant sustained a toe injury in Atlanta's loss against Houston in Week 5 and has been sidelined every since.
Quinn said the team will continue to monitor the status of both Ryan and Trufant as the week rolls along, but it's an encouraging sign for the Falcons that they will be practicing in any capacity to start the week.
