The 2016 draft is a little more than a month away, and with many prospect evaluations completed, NFL writers are getting more and more consistent with their forecasts. Here's a look at some of the latest mock draft projections for the Falcons: !
Analysis:Darron Lee is once again the majority leader this week. The Ohio State product, a compact yet supremely athletic linebacker, would fill a big need for the Falcons if they were to draft him. The 6-foot-1, 232-pounder has a lot of experience playing in a defense similar to Dan Quinn's and could immediately bolster Atlanta's front seven.
Of the 30 picks in the last three weeks, only three have been defensive linemen. That's a bit surprising given the current depth chart. One possible reason for this trend is the spot in which Atlanta is scheduled to draft: There are a lot of DL with first-round grades, but many of them are widely considered reaches at No. 17 overall. Then there are elite prospects like Joey Bosa, Shaq Lawson and DeForest Buckner, but if Rotoworld's consensus big board is any indication, all of them should be off the board when Atlanta is on the clock.
Although it didn't happen this week, don't be surprised if Leonard Floyd returns to the list sometime soon. 16 Falcons staffers showed up to Georgia's pro day last week.
