Mock Monitor: 7.0

If you were looking for clarity out of the Mock Monitor this week, apologies all around. Things only seem to have gotten foggier.

Our sampling of mock draftshas Stanford TE Coby Fleener, Georgia TE Orson Charles, Virginia Tech CB Jayron Hosley and Montana CB Trumaine Johnson as the four favorite projections for the Falcons this week.

Of the four, Johnson seems the one that's out of place, simply because of his school. Montana, a small school belonging to the Big Sky Conference, also produced current Falcons Kroy Biermann and Shann Schillinger, so there is certainly some history there.

Johnson comes into the draft overshadowed by others at his position, including Hosley, but the upstart out of Montana brings a slew of tangible numbers that are hard to ignore.

To start, Johnson stands 6-foot-2, and we've begun to see a trend in the league where teams are looking for taller, bigger corners to compete with the growing size of receivers, so Johnson's height is certainly a plus.

A starter since he was a freshman, Johnson flirted with coming out of college during his junior season but ultimately hung back. He was projected to go in the top half of the first round if he entered the draft last year.

Johnson had 15 interceptions in his four-year career with the Grizzlies.
