The Atlanta Falcons today announced their 2011 preseason schedule which includes home contests against Miami on Friday, Aug. 12 and Baltimore Thursday, Sept. 1 and road meetings at Jacksonville on Friday, Aug. 19 and Pittsburgh on Saturday, Aug. 27.
CBS Atlanta will broadcast three of the Falcons' four preseason games in 2011 as the team's official broadcast partner. The Falcons game at Jacksonville will be broadcast nationally on FOX at 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 19.

The Falcons and Dolphins have met 10 times in the preseason with the Falcons leading the series 6-4, including a 16-6 Atlanta win at Sun Life Stadium in the 2010 preseason. The Birds will visit Jacksonville for the second straight year and the eighth time in the preseason. The Falcons fell to the Jaguars 13-9 in the 2010 preseason finale and trail in the all-time preseason series 4-3. The matchup will mark the fifth time the Falcons have traveled to Jacksonville in the preseason.
Atlanta will revisit the site of its 2010 regular season opener, traveling to Pittsburgh to battle the defending AFC champion Steelers. The Falcons and Steelers have met four times in the preseason with Pittsburgh leading the series 4-0.
Atlanta will conclude its preseason schedule at home against Baltimore. The Birds have played the Ravens in three of the past four preseasons and seven times overall, with Baltimore leading the series 4-3.
Dating back to 2004, the Falcons have not recorded a losing preseason as head coach Mike Smith has guided Atlanta to 6-6 preseason record in his first three years at the helm (2008-10).
