When head coach Dan Quinn spoke with the media at the Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, one of the topics he addressed before taking questions was Atlanta's loss in last month's Super Bowl.
Quinn told reporters that, yes, he has rewatched SBLI – a lot. Like always, he can glean important insights from analyzing the film, and given his role in the organization, Quinn acknowledged he has to take responsibility for the outcome.
"You have to own that," he said. "The calls, the things you could do differently – that's not unlike most Sunday nights for me, where I wrestle in all three phases. 'Could there be something different?' As the head coach, those are the moments I do have to own."
While the loss to New England has been difficult to process, Quinn and his players have mentioned how much team chemistry should help the Falcons as they look ahead to next season. He emphasized that point on Wednesday.
"What I can tell you and share from that experience: This connection with this team, and this brotherhood that these guys have, it is so real and so strong," Quinn said. "I love these guys. And I'm pumped to be a part of it.
"So, when they asked me if I watched it, I said yes. I am past it, I am not over it. And I don't think I ever will be, and that's a good thing. Sometimes, those kind of experiences propel you to have the types of offseasons that you like to have."
