One of the biggest offseason storylines has been the ongoing contract negotiations between Pro Bowl running back Devonta Freeman and the Falcons.
And on Monday afternoon, Falcons owner and chairman Arthur Blank reportedly said while making a radio appearance on 92.9 The Game that he expects the deal to be done soon.
Freeman and Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff have also expressed confidence when asked about the matter.
Dimitroff hasn't backed off in stating Freeman's importance to organization saying he wants Freeman "around for years for years to come."
Freeman is entering the final year of his rookie contract. In his first three seasons, he's rushed for 2,383 yards and 23 touchdowns. He also has 157 receptions for 1,265 yards and six touchdowns coming out of the backfield.
