FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. – Signing All-Pro wide receiver Julio Jones to a multi-year extension was one of the Atlanta Falcons' top priorities this offseason, and those talks appear to be going well.

According to a pair of tweets by The Athletic's Jeff Schultz, Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff is "very encouraged" by the ongoing conversations with Jones' team about that extension. And, notably, Schultz reports that Jones will attend the team's minicamp in June after missing the session last year.
Jones was absent until the start of training camp in 2018, but it appears that won't be the case this season. Despite missing most of the offseason work last year, Jones is coming off of one of the best seasons of his career. He caught 113 passes for a league-leading 1,677 yards and eight touchdowns in 2018.
