Despite a disappointing finish to the 2015 season, there are many reasons to be optimistic for the upcoming season.
The duo of QB Matt Ryan and WR Julio Jones should be one of the first things Falcons fans point to for excitement.
Ryan and Jones' fifth season together proved to be record breaking in many ways. While some may say Ryan had a down year, his chemistry with Jones helped the Pro Bowler have the best season of his professional career.
The 70-yard touchdown pass to Jones during the Carolina game in Week 16 showed a glimpse of what is to come from the pair in the coming years.
Jones led the NFL in targets with 193, while hauling in a 136 of those passes, all from Ryan. His catch ratio resulted in a 70.5 completion percentage, the third highest total of any wide receiver that had 150 or more targets in 2015.
NFL Now's Nate Burleson revealed his top three QB/WR duos for 2016 and Jones and Ryan ranked No. 3 on the list.
"When you talk about combinations, a 1-2 punch, Matt Ryan and Julio Jones are incredible," Burleson said.
