On Wednesday night, Hall of Fame wide receiver Michael Irvin picked WR Julio Jones and Desmond Trufant to play on his team at the 2016 Pro Bowl.
RB Devonta Freeman was selected to Team Irvin last week when he was announced as one of four team captains for the all-star game.
FB Patrick DiMarco was one of 34 players that were pre-selected prior to the draft, and he was also placed on Team Irvin.
Irvin had high praise for his No. 2 pick in the draft, and one of the top receivers in the NFL.
"I like everything about this kid," Irvin said of Jones.
The final Falcon on the board was Trufant and Irvin selected him to play opposite of Seahawks' cornerback Richard Sherman. Trufant is coming off his best season as a pro and will get to experience his first Pro Bowl with his three Falcons teammates.
All four players had career years and are the foundation for the Falcons. The Pro Bowl serves as another opportunity for these young stars to play together.
"I believe I'm one of the best players. I work like it, and its an honor to be here," Freeman said of his selection to his first Pro Bowl during the draft on ESPN 2.
