FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga -- Robert Alford has shown the ability to make a play on the ball at just the right moment during his four seasons in the NFL. He has nine interceptions and two pick-sixes in his career, including one against Tom Brady in the Super Bowl.
During Sunday's practice session, Alford once again stepped in front of a pass thrown by one of the league's elite quarterbacks. Up against receiver Justin Hardy in a full-team period, Alford broke off the route and came away with the football.
Along with fellow cornerback Desmond Trufant, Alford forms one of the top corner duos in the NFL. He signed a four-year contract extension in December.
