FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — The Falcons conclude the regular season against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
Atlanta's schedule was front-loaded with NFC South opponents, but it will face its final divisional foe in Week 18. Playoff implications ride on this matchup. The Falcons need a win, in addition to a Tampa Bay Buccaneers' loss, to clinch the division.
Michael Penix Jr. will make the third start of his rookie campaign against the 2023 No. 1 overall pick, Bryce Young. Young had a rocky start to his NFL career including a benching earlier this year, but he has played much better in the last couple of games. He threw for 203 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in the Panthers' loss to the Bucs in Week 17.
