Give it up to NFL Network and NFL.com for getting a lot of mileage out of Roddy White's visit this week. White, who was revealed as the No. 24 player on the Top 100 Players of 2011 list Sunday night, was live on NFL Network during the reaction show immediately following the countdown's installment of the No. 30-21 players.
White then was live all throughout NFL Network Total Access on Monday night, during which he had some pretty excellent quotes I'll share in a moment.
Today, NFL.com has White's list of top five cornerbacks in the league right now, and teammate Brent Grimes makes the list at 5a. Check the complete list here.
If you didn't catch White on Total Access, you can see the video of his segment talking about the promise of the 2011 Falcons here, but I'll go ahead and share a couple of highlights from the show with you.
White said he's been working with first-round pick Julio Jones recently and he's very impressed with what he sees.
"I've been working with the big guy," White told NFL Network. "He's big, fast... He's going to be a great player in this league."
On teaming up with Jones, White brought this great quote to the table: "It's going to be special. It's going to remind you of the Greatest Show on Turf," a reference to the 2000-2005 pass-happy St. Louis Rams that won Super Bowl XXXIV.
White also said he was very excited when the Falcons moved up to select Jones in April's Draft.
Overall, it was great to see White get some deserved attention this week for not only his accomplishments on the field, but his personality off it.
