Biography

CAREER

  • Originally drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the fifth round (146th overall) of the 2016 NFL Draft where he spent five seasons (2016-20) before being picked up in free agency by the New England Patriots where he spent three seasons (2021-23).
  • Has seen action in 114 career games (82 starts) while totaling 366 tackles (250 solo) 67.0 sacks, 164 quarterback hits, 87 tackles for loss, 14 passes defensed, nine forced fumbles, and four fumble recoveries.
  • Was selected to the Pro Bowl in four consecutive seasons from 2019 to 2022.
  • In 2023, was limited to four games with two starts due to injury. Recorded 13 tackles (10 solo, 3 assists), 4 sacks for a loss of 25 yards, 9 quarterback hits, 5 tackles for loss and a safety.
  • In 2022, played in all 17 regular season games with 15 starts and recorded a career-high 15½ sacks for 102.5 yards. Also recorded 60 total tackles (36 solo, 24 assist), 28 QB hits, 2 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery and 3 passes defensed earning PFWA-ALL-AFC Team honors.
  • Earned AFC Defensive Player of the Week honors for his performance vs. Detroit (10/9).

  • Played four seasons (2011-2015) at Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Mich.
