Oct. 30, 2024 – In partnership with the USO, the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation and AMB Sports and Entertainment will outfit and support USO Centers on all U.S. Naval aircraft carriers currently in the Fleet through a $1 million grant from the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation.
The grant will expand USO support to those serving at sea to boost morale, improve the quality of life during deployment and provide more opportunities to connect with shipmates and family back home. This new support concept for deployed sailors includes many of the same amenities as land-based USO Centers, including comfortable seating, TVs, gaming equipment, board games and snacks. The grant also includes additional support for land based USO Centers to benefit service members of all military branches.
"It is a privilege to support and honor the selfless men and women of our military and their families who continuously make tremendous sacrifices to keep our nation and its allies safe," said Arthur M. Blank, owner and chairman, Blank Family of Businesses. "We are proud to continue our longstanding partnership with the USO and are grateful for their unwavering commitment to fostering community and connecting deployed service members with loved ones back home."
"On behalf of the USO, I want to express our deepest thanks to the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation and AMB Sports and Entertainment," said USO CEO and President J.D. Crouch. "Your support is vital to advancing this initiative and powering our mission. Together, we are creating lasting, meaningful impact in the military community."
Earlier this month, Atlanta Falcons President Greg Beadles, Freddie Falcon, Atlanta Falcons Cheerleaders, Legends and staff visited sailors onboard the USS Eisenhower in Norfolk, Va., alongside the USO to show appreciation and support for service members.
