Bijan Robinson surpasses 1,000 rushing yards

The second-year running back hit the mark in the first quarter of the Falcons Monday night game against the Raiders. 

LAS VEGAS — Bijan Robinson added another feather to his cap in the Falcons' Monday night bout with the Las Vegas Raiders. For the first time since joining the league last year, the second-year running back surpassed the 1,000 rushing yards mark in a single season. He did so in the first quarter.

Robinson entered Monday night's game with 977-yards rushing and 401-yards receiving. As Will McFadden reported Sunday, Robinson finds himself towards the top of the league in multiple statistical categories.

Robinson ranks third among all NFC players with 1,378 scrimmage yards through 13 games. He is second among NFC running backs with 401 receiving yards, tied for fifth with 66 first downs (50 rushing) and tied for sixth in total touchdowns with nine (eight rushing).

Heading into Week 15, Robinson ranked second in the league in games of at least 100 yards from scrimmage with nine. Saquon Barkley holds the No. 1 spot. Meanwhile, Robinson's missed tackles forced are third among NFC running backs.

The last time a Falcons' running back hit the same mark in rushing yards was in 2022, when Tyler Allgeier did so in his rookie year.
