FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — The Atlanta Falcons signed offensive tackle Brandon Parker, the team announced Tuesday.
The 2018 third-round draft pick previously spent all of his active career with the Las Vegas Raiders. The Raiders drafted Parker when they were still in Oakland, California, and Parker remained with the team when it moved to Las Vegas.
Parker has 33 starts and 59 game appearances on his resume, which also features two fumble recoveries. He played in at least 11 games in each season from 2018-21, seeing a high of 882 (77%) offensive snaps in 2021 and a low of 193 (28%) offensive snaps in 2019. Parker did not see the field in 2022, spending the season on injured reserve, but returned to action later on in 2023 with five games for 14 (4%) offensive snaps. He made the most of three practice squad elevations and was then signed to the active roster.
When the 2023 league year concluded, Parker became a free agent. He signed with the San Francisco 49ers during the 2024 preseason. He remained there during training camp but did not make the 53-man roster cut.
There is no corresponding move because the Falcons had 52 players on their active roster at the time of this transaction. Parker puts them at their 53-player max without having to release someone.
