STELLAR STATS

— Seahawks kicker Jason Myers' 59-yard field goal in the fourth quarter marked the longest field goal made inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium, which opened in 2017. Former Falcons kicker Matt Bryant attempted a 59-yarder in a 2017 Week 6 loss to the Miami Dolphins, but missed. Current Falcons kicker Younghoe Koo's longest is a 58-yarder, made earlier this season in a Week 4 win against the New Orleans Saints.

— Falcons wide receiver Drake London caught a 5-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Kirk Cousins in the third quarter. That gives London five touchdowns through six games, setting a new single-season career high. His previous high was four, which he achieved as a rookie during the 2022 season. Also, London's six receptions for 63 yards made for his sixth consecutive game with at least six receptions and 50 yards, the longest active streak in the NFL.

— Falcons running back Bijan Robinson scored on a 5-yard run in the second quarter, giving him four rushing touchdowns on the season. That matches the number of rushing scores he had during his entire rookie season in 2023.

— The Falcons had 117 yards rushing in the first half. That signified the most rushing yards in a first half since the Falcons' Week 15 win against the San Francisco 49ers in 2016, when Atlanta had 127 through two quarters.

OBSCURE FACTS

— The Seahawks completed only three passes for 26 yards and ran 14 times for just 49 yards in the second half, and yet they still managed to score 17 (exactly half) of their points during the second half. Linebacker Derick Hall's defensive touchdown in the fourth quarter helped the Seahawks accomplish that feat.

— Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr. made his NFL debut in the fourth quarter. His first pass was a 14-yard completion to wide receiver Casey Washington. It was Washington's first career reception. This rookie-to-rookie connection was evident in the preseason.

— Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba threw the longest pass of the game, connecting on a 35-yarder to wide receiver DK Metcalf in the second quarter. It was Smith-Njigba's first pass attempt of his career, which isn't all that surprising considering he's not a quarterback.

— With his third-quarter trip to the end zone, London has now scored on a receiving touchdown in the last three consecutive games. That streak is the longest for a Falcons player since tight end Hayden Hurst in 2020 when he did so from Weeks 14-16.

QUOTING RAHEEM MORRIS

On how running back Bijan Robinson is progressing…

"I think everybody knows what I'm going to say about the stats, 'They're there for losers,' and we lost today. But Bijan came out and was really running the football well. He was able to catch the ball in the back field pretty well. You've got to put it all together as a team. I will never glorify individual stats over team wins. That's just not my makeup."

QUOTING THE FALCONS

Quarterback Kirk Cousins

On whether he would tell teammates to forget this game…

"Whether it's meetings, whether it's your own conversations, whether it's out on the practice field, I just think that everybody understands that you have to go back to work. You have to improve, you've got to fix things that weren't good enough, and you've got to understand that win or lose, each game is its own entity. The next Sunday is coming, and you have another fresh start there and try to stack a much better performance."

Safety Jessie Bates III

On not overreacting to one loss…

"If you want to overreact – there's going to be a lot of people talking and all – we got beat, but we'll be fine."

QUOTING THE OPPONENT

Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald

On Falcons outside linebacker Matthew Judon being able to infiltrate the pocket…

"You have to know where he is at all times. It's easy to find him. He's got the red sleeve. Not only is he a really good player, but he's also really smart, feels the game and understands how offenses work. I lived it, and we've got a lot of respect for him."
