ATLANTA – The Falcons have signed former Jaguars' defensive tackle Michael Bennett and waived defensive tackle Justin Zimmer.
Bennett, a former sixth-round draft pick out of Ohio State in 2015, played in 14 games for games the Jaguars.

The 6-foot-2, 287-pound defensive lineman has spent the last two seasons on injured reserve with calf and pectoral injuries.
The Falcons' defensive line has been banged up of late – defensive tackle Grady Jarrett sprained his ankle in the 37-36 loss to the Bengals on Sunday. Defensive end Takkarist McKinley missed a game in Week 3 with a groin injury but is now healthy and registered three sacks against Cincinnati.
Defensive end Derrick Shelby also suffered a groin injury and Falcons head coach Dan Quinn believes the team has "a real shot" at getting him back soon.
