FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — The Atlanta Falcons were allowed to start building their 16-player practice squad at noon ET Wednesday. Before the end of the day, the team signed 13 players to the unit.
From defensive lineman Demone Harris to wide receiver Chris Blair, all of the names should look familiar from the Falcons' 90-man training camp roster at some point in time.
The latest transaction consists of:
- Wide receiver Chris Blair
- Cornerback Natrone Brooks
- Wide receiver Dylan Drummond
- Defensive lineman Demone Harris
- Defensive tackle Zion Logue
- Defensive lineman LaCale London
- Wide receiver Jesse Matthews
- Offensive lineman Andrew Stueber
- Running back Carlos Washington Jr.
- Safety Dane Cruikshank
- Offensive lineman Julién Davenport
- Cornerback Kevin King
- Tight end John FitzPatrick
The Falcons also signed defensive lineman Kenny Oginni to the practice squad, but as an international player, he does not count against the 16-player limit. That means Atlanta still has three spots open.
Just like with Tuesday's 53-man roster, Wednesday's 16-player practice squad is ever-evolving. Both will change throughout the 2024 season.
The Falcons will be able to elevate two practice quad players each game week. Every practice squad player is allowed three elevations per season. A fourth elevation would require the practice squad player to be signed to the 53-man roster.
