Falcons coach Dan Quinn said Wednesday that star wide receiver Julio Jones will be listed as questionable for Thursday night's game against the New Orleans Saints.

Jones sustained a shoulder injury in Atlanta's recent loss to Tampa Bay that forced him to miss the first offensive series of the second half. He did return to the game but later exited once again and did not return. Jones has not been involved in the team's on-field practices this week, but Quinn said he has a part of the team's walkthroughs.

The final determination on Jones' status likely won't come until Thursday night, as the Falcons want to fully test the receiver's shoulder to make sure he's ready to go.

"He's made big improvements, but we'll take it all the way up until the game," Quinn said. "Make sure that he can be totally himself with contact and strength and all of the things that you need. In this week's preparation obviously there was not a lot of contact, so we'll have to push a little bit to see where it can go."

Tight end Luke Stocker (back) and safety Sharrod Neasman (shoulder) are the two players who will be listed as questionable alongside of Jones. Quinn ruled out starting tight end Austin Hooper for Thursday's game with a knee injury he sustained in the first meeting between these two teams.

One positive injury note for the Falcons is the return of Devonta Freeman, who missed the last two games due to a foot injury.
