FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — So, they meet again.
The Falcons (4-3) take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-3) Sunday 1 p.m. ET, just three weeks after their first meeting of the season. In the first outing, the Falcons won in overtime 36-30 at home.
Since then, each team beat an NFC South opponent the following week, and lost by double digits in Week 8. The Buccaneers lost 41-31 to the Baltimore Ravens and the Falcons fell 34-14 to the Seattle Seahawks.
Quarterback Kirk Cousins had himself a game against the Bucs last time around with a franchise-record 509 passing yards. Cousins also is known to rebound quite well from double-digit losses thanks to a self-described, "utter fear of failing again." In those avenging games, Cousins is 18-7 with an average of 384.4 passing yards.
The Buccaneers will be without their top two weapons after Chris Godwin and Mike Evans sustained injuries against the Ravens. The receivers have accounted for about half of the Bucs' receiving yards this season.
Those injuries on Monday night may have flipped perception of this game in favor of the Falcons heading into this one, and the experts lean that way this week. Check out the full picks below:
