FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — The Falcons have reportedly created more cap space heading into the month of April with adjustments to three of their biggest contracts on the books for 2025, according to Spotrac.

As has been previously announced, Atlanta extended Jake Matthews prior to the start of the new league year. This freed up around $8.5 million towards the salary cap.

This wasn't the only contract the Falcons adjusted, though, as a new report has Atlanta converting right guard Chris Lindstrom and cornerback A.J. Terrell's salaries, too. Both Lindstrom and Terrell signed long-term deals with the Falcons at the end of their rookie contracts. According to the Spotrac report, the transactions yielded a total of $20 million in cap space (with Lindstrom and Terrell making up $10 million in savings apiece).

As of March 26, the Falcons have roughly $12 million in Top 51 space.

Some notes to remember with all of these adjustments:

• Teams have to be Top 51 compliant every day at 4 p.m. ET. They must be totally cap compliant by the start of the new league year (in March) and the start of the regular season (in September).

• With five draft picks on the docket, the Falcons will need around $5.4 million of Top 51 room to carry those picks once they sign their rookie deals, which they now have with the adjusted salaries of Matthews, Lindstrom and Terrell.

Jake Matthews has been the Falcons' starting left tackle since the team drafted him in 2014.
