CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Falcons started the second half against the Carolina Panthers in the best possible way, with a 75-yard touchdown pass from Matt Ryan to rookie Calvin Ridley.
Ridley came wide open on the play while streaking down the left sideline and Ryan put the ball exactly where it needed to be. The Falcons' rookie receiver did the rest, running away from a pair of Panthers defenders to give Atlanta a 17-10 lead on the first play after halftime.
The play was Ridley's second 75-yard touchdown catch this season; he caught the first against the New Orleans Saints in Week 3.
