FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — Let the prime-time games roll.
The Falcons look to make it two in a row on national TV against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football in Week 3 of the 2024 NFL season.
It'll be a tough test against the reigning Super Bowl champions of the last two years. Falcons head coach Raheem Morris called the duo of quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce "aliens" that demand special attention.
"You're talking about a bunch of elite guys and players that play at a very high level, at every level they've been at," Morris said Wednesday. "Then, there's those guys that get that alien-type status."
The Falcons and Chiefs are both coming off one-point victories in Week 2 versus the Philadelphia Eagles and Cincinnati Bengals, respectively.
Kansas City has played in 14 Sunday night games since the Falcons last appeared in one in 2019. The Chiefs went 9-5 in that span, at one point they had a six-game win streak before falling in their most recent Sunday night matchup last season.
Last week, the Falcons defied the predictions as all but one expert picked against Atlanta. Perhaps it'll be a repeat this week as many lean towards Kansas City, too. Check out the full picks below:
