The Atlanta Falcons have joined with Publix to help feed needy families this holiday season with the FalCan Food Drive Nov. 1-7. Proceeds will benefit the Atlanta Community Food Bank.
The food drive will include four components:
- The campaign kicks off Nov. 1 at the Suwanee Publix at 3120 Mathis Airport Pkwy. Fans and customers will meet running back Jason Snelling during an autograph signing session from 5-7 p.m.
- All donations made to the Publix Food for Sharing food drive at all Metro Atlanta Publix locations between Nov. 1-6 will benefit the FalCan Food Drive.
- Customers who make donations to the food drive are eligible to participate in a special BOGO offer. When you buy one Falcons ticket, you get the second free. These tickets are available at Publix Ticketmaster locations only. Customers must have the donation receipt to receive the special offer. The seats are located in the Publix sections at the Nov. 7 Tampa Bay Buccaneers game or the Jan. 2 Carolina Panthers game while supplies last. Discounts will also be available in other sections for the Nov. 11 Baltimore Ravens game.
- Forty schools across the state of Georgia signed up for the FalCan Food Drive School Challenge to collect the most non-perishable food in a two week period leading up to the Nov. 7 Falcons game. The top three schools will be given prizes including game tickets and special recognition during a game.
Results from the campaign will be announced during a November Falcons game.
