The Atlanta Falcons today announced that they have agreed to terms with center Todd McClure.
McClure, 6-1, 296 pounds, was originally selected by the Falcons in the seventh round (237th overall) of the 1999 NFL Draft. He is the longest tenured current Falcon and set a franchise record with 144 consecutive starts from 2002-10. In 2011, he started all 13 games that he appeared in helping QB Matt Ryan to throw for a franchise record 4,177 yards. McClure also helped pave the way for RB Michael Turner, who posted his second-straight 1,300-yard campaign. He was named to USA Today's All-Joe team following the 2008 and 2010 seasons.
