The Atlanta Falcons announced Tuesday afternoon that they have released punter Kasey Redfern and added quarterback Danny Etling to their practice squad.

Redfern, 28, was signed by the Falcons prior to the team's game against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 6. He has played in three games for Atlanta, punting the ball nine times for an average of 41.2 yards.
Etling was waived by the Falcons on Monday after joining the active roster to backup quarterback Matt Schaub against the Seahawks with starter Matt Ryan ruled out due to an injury.
The Falcons are on their bye week, and their next game will take place on Nov. 10 in New Orleans.
